Once you order your dresses, we will be in contact with a delivery day! We ship out as soon as the entirety of your order can be fulfilled, so depending on our current queue, you will receive your shipment 8-21 days after placing your order. After confirming your delivery and arrival day, we will get your package boxed up, sent out, and on its way! You will then have three (3) days from your sample arrival date to *safely* prance around your living room before you send them back (with a prepaid label, of course).

The cost for the USA is $50 per dress, Canada is $115 per dress, and Europe is $165 per dress. A temporary hold ($1000 for 1 dress, $1500 for 2 dresses, $2000 for 3 dresses, and $2500 if trying 4 dresses) will be placed on your credit card until we receive the dresses back at our Torrance studio.
We will cover the cost of standard shipping in the continental U.S. Need it expedited? Shoot us an email with what you’re looking for, where you live, and when you need the samples, and we will send you a quote for the dresses and shipping.
If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, there will be an additional $80 charge for shipping. UPS charges us an additional fee, so unfortunately, we have to charge you.
The amount in question is a temporary hold. If trying 1 dress, there is a $1000 hold. If trying 2 dresses, there is a $1500 hold. If trying 3 dresses, there is a $2000 hold. If trying 4 dresses, there is a $2500 hold. We remove the amount held once we receive the dresses back in the original condition sent. If you are trying one sample, you will see a hold of $1,000 on your credit card.
We would love to have you keep the dress(es) as long as possible. We are a small company and have many brides using our home try-on to say YES to their dress. We only have enough samples to allow a 48-hour try-on. If you keep the dress above the 48-hour window, we charge $50 per dress, per day.
We wish you could have found ‘the-one’ with us. Send the dress back as outlined in our policy. Once we receive the dress back in the original condition we sent it to you, we will remove the temporary hold placed on your card. The $50 per dress loan fee initially paid is non-refundable.

Once your rental order comes through, we will reach out to confirm what length we have available. Generally, for brides 5’5 and under, we recommend you select the 58” length. For those 5’6 and taller, we recommend you select the 61” length. Not all dresses are available in both lengths. Our team will confirm this with you.
We encourage you to take advantage of our Home Try On program if you are not local, or come to our Torrance showroom if you are!
Once you reserve your rental, your dress is guaranteed. We will reserve this dress, so another bride cannot rent the same dress in your timeframe. You will have 48 hours from placing the rental order to cancel.
Unfortunately, as all of our items are made-to-measure and made-to-order, we do not accept returns. We take pride in our work, and triple check and inspect all items prior to shipping. In the unlikely event, there is a defective item shipped to you, we will repair this for you.
For your convenience, we offer in-person fittings in our Torrance, CA studio by appointment. We also offer a loan-me program, which allows you to try the dress in the comfort of your own home, prior to committing. Additionally, we can send fabric swatches out to you as per your request.
In the event of unforeseen events, cancellations can be done within 48 hours of the order being placed. After 48 hours have passed, cancellations will not be accepted, as your order would have already been processed.

All made-to-order items are final sale once the order has been placed into production. If you wish to cancel for any reason, there is a 24-hour grace period between your order and the commencement of production. Once your order has been put into production, no changes can be made. Once the 24-hour grace period has passed, the order is considered a final sale. The rush service applies only to our custom, made-to-measure dresses. Standard-sized dresses can be shipped in one month.
After putting in your deposit and taking your measurements, you will do a remeasure and pick up your made-to-measure dress. See the full details here.
Some made-to-measure dresses will still require minor alterations. Alterations are typical to get the perfect fit, and usually easy to work on. The great news is the dress is made with alterations in mind. An experienced seamstress or tailor will be able to perfect your dress with ease.
The perfect fit is vital when it comes to your gown. Whether you choose a made-to-measure or a standard size, minor alterations are a normal part of the process. The excellent news is that the alterations will be minimal if you choose to have the dress made to your measurements.

Ordering your dress early protects your order from price increases and design changes. You will have time to send updated measurements before your wedding dress is finalized.
Dreamers & Lovers is obsessed with FIT. When you order a made-to-measure dress, we use about 15 of your unique measurement to craft the dress to fit your body. This is custom-made for you, made to fit you from scratch. The dress is created specifically for you from beginning to end.
Our made-to-measure is complimentary but has longer turnaround times.

If you are ordering a standard-size dress in between two sizes, we recommend ordering the larger one. It’s easier to alter a dress down than to let it out. Sometimes, if a dress is too small, you may be unable to alter it.
Sure thing, more than 50% of our brides are finding us and buying online after using our home try-on service. Home try-on is genius because we are a small company, and brides love it. Below is information on the sizing of Dreamers & Lovers garments to assist you when selecting a size. All pieces are made-to-order, and can be purchased in standard sizes. Additionally, we provide size customizations. For example, if you are either more petite, or taller than the stated length, we are happy to customize the length and sleeves for you.
