A quiet six-piece collection designed for brides who value ease, movement, and authenticity over spectacle.
The Lumina collection was created as a quiet surprise. Just six styles, each designed to reflect the effortless spirit of bohemian bridal. These are wedding dresses for easy-going brides planning intimate celebrations who still want a finish that feels considered, refined, and deeply personal.
This collection marked a shift for us. Instead of releasing one large seasonal collection, we chose to design smaller, intentional mini-collections throughout the year. It felt more aligned with how our brides shop and how we design. Lumina was the beginning of that evolution.
From the start, Lumina was designed with the modern bohemian bride in mind. Every gown is rooted in comfort and movement, using soft cotton lace, breathable linings, and silhouettes that feel natural to wear. These are the same principles that continue to guide our approach to boho wedding dresses today.
Designing for Fit, Not Just Aesthetic
When creating Lumina, fit was non-negotiable. Rather than designing to a storyline, each dress was developed individually. We refined proportions, explored new fabric combinations, and focused deeply on how each gown felt on the body.
I took many of our best-selling silhouettes, tweaked their proportions, expressed them in new fabrics, and worked obsessively on achieving the best possible fit. That foundation garment work remains central to how we design non-traditional wedding dresses today.
Our team spent countless hours testing fit across sizes, studying how each dress moved, and making adjustments that translated into real comfort for real brides. This is the part of the process we never compromise on.
Expanding Our Size Range
Lumina also represented an important step forward in size inclusivity. At the time, we realized that while we regularly created dresses in sizes 16 and 18, our sample range did not reflect that reality.
With Lumina, we expanded our sample sizes to range from 2–18. It felt like the right move then, and it continues to shape how we approach fit and accessibility across our collections today.
The Styles of the Lumina Collection
Each Lumina style was designed to feel timeless, wearable, and quietly romantic.
Anais builds on the defined waist and airy lace of Azalea, reimagined with a lighter, more effortless feel.
Chloe and Audrey introduced long sleeves to familiar silhouettes, responding directly to what so many brides were asking for. I personally love the closed back paired with sheer lace. It feels like magic in dress form.
Claire extends some of our earliest designs, combining cotton lace bodices with silk skirts for ease and movement. Hazel is a dress that lived in my dreams for years and finally came to life, featuring a ruched waistband added instinctively after seeing the first sample on the form.
Grace is a style that had an earlier attempt years ago but never quite landed—until now. Timing matters.
Many of these design elements continue to live on in our current lace wedding dresses.
Our Inspiration
Our inspiration has always been our bride. She is thoughtful, creative, and grounded. She values beauty, but never at the expense of comfort or authenticity. Her wedding is an extension of her life, not a performance.
The Lumina shoot reflected that energy. The woman we photographed embodied the same spirit we see every day in our studio—natural, expressive, and quietly confident. She reminded us why we design the way we do.
Final Thoughts
Lumina was an early expression of what would become a defining part of Dreamers & Lovers. Soft cotton lace. Fluid silhouettes. Unique Wedding Dresses designed to move naturally with the body.
