We are obsessed with this gorgeous and simple wedding inspiration editorial photographed by Sam Landreth Photography. It explores the beauty of simplicity, and is an incredible inspiration for the more leaning bohemian or non-traditional bride. Set in the historic Gray Gables Estate in Portland, Oregon, this serves as the most perfect setting for this romantic shoot.
For us at Dreamers & Lovers we are firm believers in finding the right photographer for your wedding, as the quality of their work, does make a huge difference in the images you’ll treasure for the rest of your life. The images in this simple wedding inspiration is so compelling, and Sam managed to capture the raw natural beauty of the surroundings, the beautiful couple, and our ‘it’ dress – the Catherine.
Portland based Bramble florals worked magic on all of the lush floral designs, and add to the effortless and moody feel of this inspiration shoot. Shades of pink are a favorite for many brides, and we see why. This pink naked cake is breathtaking and adds to the textural elements so pronounced in this shoot. The feminine Catherine dress fits right in, and adds to the simple and elegant mood of the shoot.
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.” – Pablo Neruda

It is no secret that we love industrial spaces here at Dreamers & Lovers, and this newish Orange County, California wedding venue – The Estate on Second- does not disappoint. We are so in love with this inspiration shoot titled “Hues of Blue” coordinated by Just Merried Events. Featured in this shoot are our Bianca 2-piece dress, as well as our Amy top + Fiona skirt.
This shoot was also recently featured on Green Wedding Shoes blog.
From Lilian – Shoot Design & Coordinator:
“It all began with a love affair…with the charming & historic Estate on Second, a brand new venue in Santa Ana that made its debut just over the summer. And with such a lovely venue as the backdrop of our photoshoot, we made some wedding magic happen.”
We are sure you will find loads of design inspiration from this shoot, from the suspended green garland to the floral chandelier. Seriously, how gorgeous does that look against the distressed walls?!?!. On a side note, distressed walls gets us every time. It transforms everything in its path to MAGIC.
Another of our fave detail from this shoot is the table setting. Nothing quite beats a minimal wood table with garland and natural looking florals. It has an organic feel to it, and does not look overdone, and the addition of the copper elements takes it up a notch.
And we couldn’t feature this shoot without mentioning that giant love sign that Lilian had made. If you are on the hunt for a love sign, you;re in luck, as this is now offered for rentals.

This dreamy desert editorial has us swooning. Although it’s a no-brainer, add a horse, our iconic Catherine dress, and head out to the wild, and the result is just breathtaking.
Photographer Kobe Wagstaff captured this all so beautifully. We think this is the perfect inspiration for elopement photos.
“Maybe some women aren’t meant to be tamed
Maybe they just need to run free till they find someone
just as wild to run with them.”
“Love her, but keep her wild.”
“Her messy hair, a visible attribute of her stubborn spirit.
As she shakes it free, she smiles knowing wild is her favorite color.”
“She’s mad, but she’s magic.”

OMG!!! It is hard to believe that it is almost FOUR MONTHS since we have written a blog post. Where the heck have we been?!! The truth is, it’s been a whirlwind the past few months for us. We’ve been busy with so much, from creating dresses with tight timelines, to hunting for a new showroom/studio, and meeting loads of brides-to-be in our current SMALL showroom, and just life in general. We have tons to update you on in the near future. Last week, we signed a brand spanking new lease on a showroom almost triple the size of our current one. It has that good ole laid-back vibe that we love, in all its rustic industrial natural beauty. The space should be epic when we are finally done….so hang in there…
In the meantime, we have loads of catching up to do with all the photos and behind the scenes happenings that we live for.
This epic editorial is the brainchild of Meghan Elise from MeghanElise photography, and Sharon of Knot Just Flowers. Oh Em Gee..how can we sum up the awesomeness of this editorial? Is there enough words? Well, as this editorial was also featured on Green Wedding Shoes, she (Jen, the fan-damn-tastic editor behind GWS) said it best, “Inspired by strong, beautiful shades of blue…it conceptualizes a setting that walks the line of folksy, bohemian, earthy + eclectic”, and we agree wholeheartedly.
We meet many brides-to-be in the studio, and frequently when we ask the theme or inspiration behind their wedding decor, we hear a lot of COLOR, and this is one of the main reasons we love this shoot so much, (and the fact that the super fab girl, ROCKED our Alexandria dress to perfection). We love the abundance of strong colors, and the natural rustic backdrop of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. For our California brides, this would be an amazing venue. We envision this being perfect for our laid-back, cool, and creative bohemian brides. Right???
We love the look of the Alexandria paired with bare feet. What do you all think? Either way this dress is a stunner, and we were happy to see it featured on POP SUGAR as one of the top bohemian wedding dresses. (#smallvictories)
We hope you will find loads of inspiration in this fun editorial, and that you will love it as much as we do. I mean, after this shoot, we have a total photographer-crush on Meghan.
